You are my Sunshine!

Good Morning!  I am so happy it is not raining today.  It is bright and sunny and I am feeling cheery and warm so I figured I would do a post today about the color YELLOW. 

Yellow represents optimism, enlightenment and happiness.  It encourages communication, activates the memory, stimulates the mental process and stimulates the nervous system. Can even stimulate the metabolism!  I am going out today to buy a set of yellow dishes!!!!!

Although, considered the happiest color in the spectrum it does have some negatives.  In many cultures it symbolizes greed, jealousy and sadness.  It is actually the most straining to the eye.  When thinking of painting a bold color, keep in mind, there are scientific studies that show that bright yellow can create anger and frustration and people are more likely to lose their tempers and babies are more likely to cry in a yellow room.

Yellow is a great attention getter and therefore used a lot in advertising and branding.  It is used on important vehicles like taxis and school buses. It symbolizes caution. It symolizes support for our troops.  Lance Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG uses yellow.
